Found a perfect T-shirt for you:
‘I don’t drink because I’m saving up for a:’ (presumably a 126p). :D
It’s an old ‘propaganda’ poster from communist Poland.

Wodka now or wait an eternity for a car? Tough choice.

AWESOME! :D
I’ve actually been looking into getting myself a 126 t-shirt.....I’ve got a large collection of car shirts, mostly Dodge from when I was younger, and some Subaru shirts as well...may as well keep adding to the collection! :D
I’ve thought about picking up one of these:

That 2nd one is especially cool.
Out of the one I came across today this one gave me a little chuckle.
Speed demon indeed. :D

Bah! It can do 105 and that’s just crazy. I’ve had mine up to 110 as well!

Was that downhill with a tailwind being pushed by another car? :P

Nope, perfectly legit 110 :D You can expect a healthy 126 to be able to reach around 110-115.

So, what you’re saying is it’s a perfectly adequate highway commuter that I could DD every day when the weather was nice, right? RIGHT? :P

I’m not saying yes, but last summer I dailed that car for 2 months straight. :] If you are prepared to withstand an assault on your ears you could keep a 126p at 100kph for an hour without a problem (other than imminent hearing damage).

Haha! Our highway here is actually mostly flat, but there are a few somewhat steep places I imagine the 26hp would not be up to continuing to haul along at 100kph (the speed limit here)...

Not sure where you’re getting 26 hp from. 24 hp represent!
And if I can be frank for a moment here, I think once you have your lovely 126p you’ll find yourself driving closer to 90 kph than 100, if only to spare your poor ears. :D

Is it 24hp? Whoops! Guess I was giving it 2 more horsies credit than it actually generates! :P
Any idea what RPM the engine is at around 90kph? :P
I’ve thought about buying something like this and mounting it in an inconspicuous/stock looking place when I get mine...it’s only 2" around at the face, so fairly small and wouldn’t be too hard to find space for!

It’s 22-23 hp (depending on the estimate) for a 600 cc and 24 hp for a 650. I’m sure the 126 is glad to be of diasppontment ;).
I’ve no idea what RPMs the engine is turning at around 100 kph, but my estimate is loud. Also, a tachometer is completely superflouous, as long as you don’t want to know the precise data that is. I guess I’m used to driving cars without rev counters, but I never find myself in need of one in my little Fiat.

I guess I am just used to one from having one in both my Subaru and my current Accent. Maybe I am subconsciously self-trained to go by the tach rather than the engine sound...
